Show Notes – Ep 184 (Ecdysis)

This week, we sit down to chat with special guest DancingViru about the information contained within the lore book, Ecdysis.

Summary of Episodes

Another work for the process of shedding the old skin or casting off the outer cuticle, Ecdysis sets itself up as a collection of descriptively named entries from the start. The tale contained within the nine entries detail the evolution of the enigmatic Emissary of the Nine from her humble origins as a human trash-collector (literally) upon the Yang Liwei into the esoteric figure we know in current game. Our conversations this week begin with an overview of information about the Nine and end with a detailed dive into the individual entries of Ecdysis.

The question to keep in mind though, is if, even through the changes, the underlying truth of a person remains. Or does the shedding of the old skin reveal something else – something alien and beyond recognition?

Risen. Pilgrim Guard. Titan. Sunbreaker. Even if the name changes, the truth of you doesn’t.
